Heineken® Silver is brewed at a chilled -1°C, resulting in an extra-refreshing lager with a less bitter taste and a crisp, subtle finish that’s effortless to drink.

Heineken® Silver features all the same pure, 100% natural ingredients people love from our original recipe. What makes Heineken® Silver different is the ice-cold lagering process. By brewing Heineken® Silver at -1°C, more cold haze is allowed to form and be filtered out. This removes proteins and rough-tasting tannins, leaving a delightfully refreshing taste that’s accessible and easy to drink.

Depending on the market, Heineken® Silver will be available in 25cl and 33cl bottles, 33cl and 50cl cans, and on draught.

Heineken® Silver will be available in both on and off-trade in different retail channels, depending on markets.

Heineken® Silver brings a brand new taste profile with a fresh, down-to-earth new look to match. The iconic green Heineken® label has turned turquoise, reflecting the brand’s extra-refreshing flavour and setting it apart from our original recipe beer.

Heineken® Silver contains 35 kcal per 100ml, so each 33cl of Heineken® Silver contains 116 kcal. It also contains zero fat or sugar.

Heineken® Silver is made with a uniquely different brewing process to our original recipe. By brewing Heineken® Silver at an ice-cold -1°C, a cold haze is allowed to form, filtering out more proteins and rough-tasting tannins. The result is a fresh, crisp finish that’s easy to drink.

Heineken® Silver is launching in 19 markets, including Albania, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, France, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. It will also launch in Norway during 2022 for on-trade outlets.

Heineken® Silver isn’t an extra-cold version of Heineken® Original; it’s a completely different proposition that aims to appeal to a broader range of consumer tastes. Brewed at -1°C, Heineken® Silver has a more accessible, easy-to-drink finish. Lager beers experience a cold storage period to allow a ‘cold haze’ to form, which can be filtered out to leave a crystal-clear beer. The lower the temperature, the more cold haze forms and the more can be filtered out. Because cold haze is made out of proteins and rough-tasting tannins, a beer lagered at a lower temperature results in a more accessible flavour profile.

With a lower ABV of 4%, Heineken® Silver is an easy-to-drink, extra-refreshing beer designed to be more accessible for more consumers.

All Heineken® beers are suitable for vegetarians and vegans, and Heineken® Silver is no exception. Heineken® Silver does not use isinglass in the brewing process and all ingredients are vegan-friendly.
